OMG this was a great book!!!!! I loved it, loved it, loved!!!! Kept me interested the whole way through. Loved all the characters except for one but I won't ruin it for anyone else! Lol -) First book I've read by Lataryn and it sure wont be the last!!! Lataryn you now have a fan for life!!!! I highly recommend this book!!! 5 star book!!!!!
This was a good story, although it was unfinished.
Shanae starts out the book in a relationship with Jarrell, but it doesn't look like he's the man for her. From her perspective. From his perspective, she's the love of his life. Look out!
Troy seems to be an upstanding guy who would be great for Shanae. Is he real?
Peaches is one of Shanae's good friends, but she has no morals. None. Why do we keep surrounding ourselves with people who bring us down. This is definitely an unequally yoked friendship.
Kim we don't hear much about, but she's another of Shanae's friends.
Trina and her man Brent come to visit Shanae and they their visit lasts a month. Shanae and her family have a good relationship, but Trina isn't feeling Shanae's friend.
The story line was great! But...
This book wasn't edited for grammar and run-on sentences. Your and you're were mixed up often. Sentences were incomplete or missing commas. And there was a section of the book where they went to a place called Rafael's. Right after that is a paragraph which looks like a sentence - or several - are missing because Shanae's date is telling her about the restaurant and in the same sentence they're actually AT the restaurant and she's describing what she sees, so something got cut out when this was converted to an ebook.
Also, there's a scene at the end of the book in which Trina is on her way to pick up her cousin. But that party doesn't ring true. How can she be on her way to pick up her cousin when her cousin has been "unavailable" (trying not to give a spoiler) for 2 weeks? It's not logical that you'd pick her up in that type of event.
And like the other said, the rest of the story is missing. Since they've already described exactly what's missing from the book I won't repeat it, but it appears that a part two is in order. At the same time, it just seems like the author simply forgot to tie up those loose ends.
If the author had the book professional edited, fixed the error I described at the restaurant, tied up the loose ends, and made the ending more realistic (and this wasn't an artistic license issue), this book would be worth 5 stars. This is an author I look forward to following for future reads.

The pages turn with twists and suprises and its such a fun read!
I am so glad I found this author, I can't wait to read her next one!

I truly loved this book, and the characters in the book except for that damn Peaches. The author left so many unanswered questions like, what did Troy mean when he was talking to his brother about stolen cars, or what ever happened to Brent that night after the big fight. I don't want give to much away but it's worth the read. Can't wait for Part two of starting all over.
This book was really good. I can't stand Jarrell but I NEED to know what his outcome is gonna be.It's so amazing to see lataryn put SC on the map. Everything was so relatable and vivid; probably bc Ive been to most of the places mentioned in the book. This made me love the story even more. I love how it wasn't your typical drugs and money story but it was real life w| mature adults. I look forward to reading part two.
From the first page I had been captured in the moment. While reading this book it kept me on edge at all times, I swear I never wanted to put this book down. Funny thing is I was in class and was suppose to have been taking notes but the book was getting even better to where I miss the whole lecture lol. I just want to let the author know that you did such a great job on this book that I can't wait for your next book and/or books. If any author can't write a book like this and have me not wanting to put it down its major love and support from. KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK.
The book was good it had a few issues with it.., Formatting(sentences cut off in one part I notice) and editing issues. Overall with the issues, I enjoyed the story. How the book ended it have to has a Part 2. It had too many loose endings, Peaches trifling butt, Brent disappearing to go back to Cali without Trish. Jarell???? Just so much happening and I need to know what's going to happen!
